The chicken sandwich chain Chick-fil-A looks to be broadening its Bay Area presence — planning to open a new outpost in San Jose at 1301 West San Carlos Street, taking over a spot that was formerly home to a Burger King, near establishments such as Crema Coffee Roasting Company, Gojo Ethiopian, and Taqueria Eduardo.

According to SiliconValley.com, “the Chick-fil-A would have 78 seats, according to a development permit proposal on file with San Jose city officials… [and] would total slightly over 5,100 square feet, the new plans show.”

“As for the upcoming West San Carlos Street Chick-fil-A, the time frame for the start of construction of that restaurant or when it might open wasn’t immediately clear,” the publication continues.

Regardless, it can be reasonably assumed that the outpost will serve up fried chicken sandwiches, chicken nuggets, chicken strips, and wraps — as well as breakfast items, salads, and milkshakes.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so follow Chick-fil-A on Facebook for updates.
