A new Chinese restaurant, Xian Bistro, is coming to 2543 Noriega Street in San Francisco.
The Outer Sunset spot was previously home to Sushi Genki and neighbors eateries such as Inka Orange, Pho Recipe | Vietnamese Noodle House, and S & T Hong Kong Seafood.
Co-Owner Grover Fan tells What Now San Francisco that Xian Bistro will serve typical Chinese fare, but the menu is still being developed.
While additional information has not yet been disclosed, Fan’s previous Chinese restaurant concept, Go Go Cafe may provide some insight into what Outer Sunset can expect from Xian Bistro.
Before permanently closing, Go Go Cafe offered a broad menu of appetizers — think green onion pancakes, spring rolls, wontons, and pot stickers — soups, seafood plates, fried and steamed rice plates, and noodle dishes such as chow mein, Singapore-style vermicelli, and black pepper beef crispy noodles.
The Cafe was known as a late-night spot — its hours of operation were from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. seven days a week — where patrons could count on finding large portions of Chinese fare long after other restaurants in the area had closed.
