Known as a “local neighborhood haunt serving classic French bistro fare in a casual, cozy, and colorful space,” Forest Hill’s Chouchou French Bistro is opening a second restaurant.

Owner Mina Habil tells What Now San Francisco that, in addition to its spot at 400 Dewey Boulevard, Chouchou French Bistro is bringing a location to 401 Primrose Road in Burlingame — where its neighbors will include Salan Revel and Scoop Studio Pilates.

On its website, the eatery describes itself as an “authentic French Restaurant that offers a Provencal feel [and] a casual yet chic bistro atmosphere.” The cuisine is described as “Old World cooking with a modern French twist,” and on the menu, patrons can find items like a rosemary-roasted grilled rack of lamb served with Madeira wine sauce, and escargot cooked with garlic, parsley, shallots, butter, and breadcrumbs.

Habil was unable to provide additional information before the time of publication and an opening date has not yet been announced, so follow Chouchou French Bistro on Facebook for additional updates.
