Palo Alto Airport’s Cloud 9 Coffee Co. has shut down temporarily for renovations.

According to a recent construction permit application, the updates will include “wall changes at [the] counter,” the replacement of the current counter, and an update to the equipment — though it’s not specific about which items. In total, the project is estimated to cost $37,511.

For readers who are unfamiliar with Cloud 9 Coffee Co., it describes itself as “one of the first third-wave, specialty coffee shops in Bakersfield.”

On the beverage menu, patrons can expect specialty lattes in flavors such as lavender, brown sugar & white chocolate, and mint & basil. To eat, offerings include an oatmeal cream pie, a brown butter caramel blondie, and an orange chocolate chip scone, to name a few.

What Now San Francisco reached out to Cloud 9’s owner, Morgan Bonn, but she was not immediately available for comment.
