The new restaurant Parche is coming to 2295 Broadway in Oakland. The spot was previously home to Brown Sugar Kitchen, and eateries in the vicinity include Mixt, The Melt, Humphry Slocombe, and Calavera.

AKA Group LLC is behind the concept, and the owners are Paul Joseph Iglesias and Kendrick Wu. Iglesias tells What Now San Francisco that Parche will focus on contemporary Colombian cuisine and plans on offering an assortment of small plates.

An opening date has not yet been announced, but the restaurant is in the permitting phase, with an on-sale general eating place license application pending since November 10th.
