Cookie Plug, a “unique concept that blends hip-hop, graffiti, and great cookies,” recently announced its expansion plans for the year — and they include outposts in Emeryville, San Francisco, and San Jose.

The company’s CEO Chris Wyland tells What Now San Francisco that the ambitious business has 261 franchise shops “under development agreement,” from California all of the way out to Puerto Rico. “Our goal is to open 50 this year,” Wyland shares.

According to Wyland, the Emeryville shop will be located at 6399 Christie Avenue, joining Black Diamond Café on the ground floor of apartment complex Avenue 64 Apartments. The address of the upcoming San Jose outpost hasn’t yet been announced.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the concept, Cookie Plug’s founder Erik Martinez began the business in 2019, wanting to combine his passion for street art and graffiti with his love for making cookies. On the menu, patrons can expect to find “the fattest and thiccest cookies baked fresh daily” in flavors such as SnooperDoodle, The Mac Daddy, and the OG.

The Emeryville Cookie Plug is slated to open this summer. In the meantime, Bay Area residents can visit a recently opened outpost in Newark to satiate brookie cravings.
