Yugobar, a Croatian wine bar pop-up, will make its debut in the Mission District in late October, according to owner Asja Sever

Attendees will have five to seven plates of traditional Croatian food to choose from, each ranging from $10 to $30, according to Eater San Francisco. The menu will feature Sever’s family recipes alongside staples such as olives, charcuterie boards, and squid-ink risotto. The pop-up will also give diners the ability to pick from up to 15 Croatian wines.

Sever anticipates that half of the seats will be walk-in, while the other half will be available for reservation.

Sever shares with What Now San Francisco that the name, Yugobar, is a homage to Yugoslavia. Without negating key elements of the former country’s history, she would like the pop-up to offer a taste of the culture she was born into. To set an authentic mood, Sever plans to set the ambience with Yugoslav 80’s new wave music.

As of mid-September, the pop-up’s address is yet to be announced.
