Full Belly Bakery, a designer cake studio owned by Eva Allen, is opening its first brick-and-mortar shop in Oakland’s Montclair neighborhood.

“I’m especially excited… Now everyone can get familiar with us as we continue growing,” Allen tells SF Eater.

In addition to custom-made cakes, the bakery offers signature cakes — in flavors like caramel pecan carrot and berry Gentilly — as well as cookies, bread loaves, scones, tarts, and truffles. According to SF Eater, there will also be a new item added to the menu, bread pudding bites.

Allen credits Damon Johnson from the Oakland Black Business Fund for helping her secure the loan that has made the storefront possible.

A specific address hasn’t been announced, but the shop will be open from the late morning until the evening after its opens in fall 2023.
