According to a pending beer and wine license found in state public records earlier this month, a restaurant called Echigo Home Cook is planning to operate at 2760 Octavia St., in the former Toasty space (not to be confused with Avotoasty, which is now across the street on Union).

The LLC listed on Echigo Home Cook’s pending ABC license is connected to Lovessy Asian Fusion & Souffles Bistro, which formerly operated in the Richmond District. When contacted by What Now San Francisco, the owners confirmed that they plan to open their new venture within two months.

They were unable to give further comment by the time of publication, so we remain at the edge of our seats in terms of what Echigo Home Cook has on their menu. Perhaps it will be an offshoot of what we’ve seen at Lovessy. Can we expect their inspired souffles and Vietnamese-forward cuisine to make a comeback?

We’ll post an update if we ever get more information, otherwise, we suggest keeping an eye out for an opening at this address in the coming months so you can see for yourselves.
