According to Lookout, a fire recently broke out behind El Toro Bravo Mexican Restaurant, causing damage to the restaurant and forcing its temporary closure.

Located at 123 Monterey Avenue, the restaurant is neighbor to establishments such as Brittanica Arms of Capitola, Mijo’s Taqueria, and Zelda’s on the Beach.

“Capitola Police and the Central Fire District did not immediately respond to Lookout’s request for comment, but the police department said on social media that there were no injuries to report as of around 8 a.m. The cause of the fire is still under investigation,” the Journal shares.

What Now San Francisco reached out to the concept’s co-owner, Jon Baron, to inquire about his plans for reopening but he could not provide additional information before publication.
