According to a recently submitted alcohol license application, family-owned business La Corneta Taqueria plans to debut a new outpost in Palo Alto.

Coming to 324 University Avenue, the eatery will land near establishments such as the Georgian restaurant Bevri, Ramen Nagi, and Salt & Straw ice cream shop.

What Now San Francisco spoke briefly with the concept’s co-owner, Joel Campos — who operates the business alongside his father — but he could not provide additional information before publication.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the concept, the business offers a brief introduction on its website: “La Corneta opened its doors on September 13, 1995 in 2834 Diamond Street in Glen Park. The owner, Joel Campos, with the help of his family, found a small spot in a wonderful neighborhood. The aim of Joel Campos was to offer fresh and delicious food with good prices and service in a fast manner.”

La Corneta currently operates two San Francisco locations — one located in Glen Park Village and another in the Mission — as well as outposts in both Burlingame and San Carlos.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
