According to a recently submitted business license application, a new restaurant, Wrap N Roll, is coming to Berkeley.

Taking over an existing space at 2493 Telegraph Avenue — a spot that currently houses the daytime cafe Savory Kitchen — Wrap N Roll will land just down the street from People’s Park, near eateries such as Bongo Burger, Poke Parlor, and Nom Nom Bánh Mì.

Owner Anis Rahman tells What Now San Francisco that Wrap N Roll will be a Pakistani kebab grill that offers, as the name suggests, meat and vegetable wraps made with rotis — an unleavened, flour-based bread similar to a tortilla — and bun kebabs, which resemble burgers.

Additionally, the filing describes the concept as a “fast-food chain” and discloses that the establishment does not intend to sell alcohol.

According to Rahman, Wrap N Roll will open “in a few months.” What this spells for the future of Savory Kitchen is still unclear.

Stay tuned for additional updates.
