According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Alameda-based Fikscue Craft Barbecue plans to debut a new outpost in Mission Bay.

Coming to Thrive City — an 11-acre mixed-use, privately-financed complex at 1725 3rd Street — the eatery will land near establishments such as Dumpling Time, Gott’s Roadside, and Harmonic Brewing.

“We are excited. We are anxious,” shares co-owner Reka Saleh — “I feel like it’s a proud moment for the Indonesian community as well.”

For readers who are unfamiliar with the restaurant, “husband-and-wife duo Fik and Reka Saleh had started the restaurant as a home business in 2020 before opening Fikscue in the East Bay to great acclaim last year,” the Chronicle reports.

On the menu, locals can expect to find Texas-style barbecue such as beef ribs and brisket seasoned with Indonesian flavors.

Fikscue Craft Barbecue on 3rd Street is slated to open in early 2025. Follow the eatery on Facebook for updates.
