According to a recent permit application, Antojitos El Burrito Crazy will soon begin slinging pupusas, quesadillas, tacos, and, of course, burritos at a new brick-and-mortar dig in San Jose.

Coming to 1058 S 1st Street, the Mexican food joint will take over a spot previously home to dive bar The Place, neighboring Clandestine Brewing, Puro Michoacan Restaurant, and Trine’s Cafe.

What Now San Francisco reached out to the eatery’s owner, Juan Colin Cruz, but he was unable to provide additional information before the time of publication.

Nevertheless, San Jose residents who have had the chance to swing by the El Burrito Crazy food truck can most likely expect more of the same — nacho fries, gorditas, chimichangas, and a selection of burritos, including vegetarian and breakfast options.

The business’s opening date and intended hours of operation have not yet been announced, but if the permanent restaurant plans to remain in line with the food truck at 460 E William Street, its hours are from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. from Tuesday to Saturday.

Check back in over the coming weeks for additional updates.
