According to a recently submitted alcohol license application, local food truck and restaurant concept Chandni Chowk plans to debut a new brick-and-mortar location in Berkeley.

Coming to 3211 College Avenue, the eatery will land near establishments such as Boichik Bagels Berkeley, the Italian restaurant Casa Barotti, and Peet’s Coffee.

What Now San Francisco reached out to the concept’s co-owner, Avash Shrestha, to inquire about his plans for the upcoming locale, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, on its Google Maps profile, the business introduces itself as a place to enjoy a variety of pani puri made with fresh ingredients. Additional items on the menu include Chole Kulche — a type of chickpea curry — and Dahi Vada, or lentil fritters soaked in yogurt.

It currently operates at 40967 Fremont Boulevard in Fremont and is open until 11:30 pm seven days a week.

An opening date has not been announced yet. Stay tuned for updates.
