According to a recently submitted permit application, Bay Area Japanese concept Yoshi Sushi plans to open a new outpost in San Jose.

Coming to 1095 E Brokaw Road, the eatery will land near establishments such as Dave’s Hot Chicken, Noah’s Bagels, and Sizzling Lunch.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the dining concept, Yoshi Sushi began as a food truck in 2017 and operated as such until it opened its first brick-and-mortar restaurant at 599 E Calavera Boulevard in Milpitas in 2021.

On the menu, San Jose residents can expect to find specialty sushi rolls, plates such as chicken katsu and salmon teriyaki, and ramen, to name just a few of the options.

What Now San Francisco contacted Yoshi Sushi’s owner, Jinyao Huang, to inquire about the expansion, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so follow Yoshi Sushi on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
