This fall, South San Francisco will welcome Guapas Mexican Grill. The new restaurant is moving into The Cove at Oyster Point at 101 Oyster Point Boulevard. It will neighbor Truffle Poké Bar whose owner, Rafic Haddad, is the mastermind behind this new concept.

Haddad tells What Now San Francisco that Guapas Mexican Grill will serve burritos, tacos, nachos, bowls, churros and more. The restaurant will be a similar format to Chipotle, in which customers can pick and choose what goes into their meals.

A beer and wine application was submitted this week and Haddad says that they will have all Mexican beers on the menu. These were all the details he could give us for the time being, as What Now San Francisco has caught wind of this new restaurant in its early stages.

That said, Haddad anticipates a grand opening for Guapas Mexican Grill to happen sometime this fall. The restaurant is soon to undergo construction and renovations, while its online presence also still needs to be established. When a website and social media accounts are ready, we’ll be sure to add them here. Stay tuned.
