According to a recently submitted alcohol license application, beloved local restaurant Hon’s Wun-Tun House is preparing to debut a new location, this time in Outer Sunset.
Coming to 1830 Irving Street, taking over a space currently home to Golden Crab House, the eatery will land near establishments such as Gao Viet Kitchen, Kevin & Chris’s Noodle House, and Toast’N Egg.
The company’s president, per the filing, Ren Yan, tells What Now San Francisco, “We plan to open on October 1.”
For readers who are unfamiliar with the dining concept, it offers a brief introduction on its website: “Established in 1972… Hon’s Wun-Tun House has served the noodle lovers for almost half a century in San Francisco Chinatown.”
The Wun-Tun flagship restaurant is located at 648 Kearny Street, and its second restaurant debuted at 733 Washington Street in San Francisco’s Chinatown.
“Located at the prime location, just minutes away from the financial district, Hon’s Wun-Tun House has preserved its authentic taste of the Hong Kong style wonton noodle soup, which is praised by all the noodle lovers not only from the local area, but also from around the world. The restaurant will continue serving its customers with the best quality of wonton noodle soup and many more,” the statement continues.
In addition to wonton noodle soup, menu offerings include melon pan-fried vermicelli, curried beef with rice, and dumplings.
