According to CultureMap San Antonio, the Houston-based concept Padre’s Wine Company will debut a new location in Fredericksburg, joining the 73,000-square-foot retail and dining development The Meuse.
“Growing up, I spent summers with my family in the Hill Country, and it is an honor to bring Padre’s to Fredericksburg, the home of countless great family memories. Rooted in values of sustainability, family, and joie de vivre, the Padre’s experience is as much about people and storytelling as it is about great wine,” the concept’s owner, William Farley, says in the release.
Under development at the intersection of US 290 and US 87, Padre’s will join the lineup alongside upcoming tenants such as Kimpton Hotel, and soon be neighbored by existing establishments such as Catfish Haven, Eaker Barbecue, the steak house Jack’s Chophouse, and the American restaurant Pi Social.
What Now San Antonio reached out to Farley to inquire about the expansion; however, he could not provide additional information before publication.
For readers who are unfamiliar with Padre’s Wine, the concept was founded in 2023 in Houston and currently operates a wine-focused retail shop and a bar that serves sandwiches and charcuterie in the City at 3522 White Oak Drive.
It offers a brief introduction on its website, stating, “Our goal is to bring South American wines from boutique winemakers that represent Padre’s spirit to Texas. At Padre’s, you will find family-owned, small production vineyards and wineries that place an emphasis on the environment and sustainability.”
Padre’s Wine Company in Fredericksburg is slated to open in 2027. Follow What Now San Antonio on Facebook for updates to this story.
