According to a recent small beer manufacturer license application, Humble Sea Brewing is planning an expansion to Alameda. The application has been pending since December 28 and is for the address 2350 Saratoga Street Unit 250 — a space in a “collaborative work/live environment” called Storehouse Lofts.
“A modern revival of the original General Storehouse at Alameda’s historic naval base,” Storehouse Lofts offers 196 “live/work” spaces sized between 500 and 1,800 square feet. It pitches itself as “a community of live-in/work-in lofts curated for local entrepreneurs” and hopes to inspire “creative minds to exchange ideas and propel their business forward.”
With current outposts in Santa Cruz, Pacifica, and Felton, this upcoming Saratoga Street space will mark Humble Sea’s first foray into Alameda.
According to its official website, Humble Sea Brewing began in 2009 as a homebrewing project of Nick Pavlina. Not long after, Pavlina’s childhood friends Taylor West and Frank Scott Krueger joined him, ultimately founding Humble Sea Brewing Co.
An opening date and other pertinent details concerning the Alameda outpost haven’t yet been announced.
