The Red Bay HQ Café served the Oakland community for five glorious years. The café shared the heartbreaking news of its closure on social media, citing the end of its lease.

Red Bay HQ Café Says Goodbye as Lease Nears Its End

Located in the heart of Oakland, Red Bay Coffee has been dedicated to brewing exceptional coffee and creating a more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable community. Known for its fresh, strong coffee, including charcoal lattes, matcha tea, and iced oat milk lattes with cinnamon.

Through an Instagram post, the cafe announced, “Red Bay HQ Café Closing! ”

The post further mentioned, “After five wonderful years of serving the Fruitvale District, we will be closing our Red Bay HQ Café at the end of November.”

In the caption, the cafe expressed great appreciation to the community for its support and love. Red Bay Cafe shared, “As our lease comes to an end, we’ll be focusing our energy on other parts of our business, continuing to roast, ship, and serve you through our other locations and partnerships.

Fans can still enjoy their favorites at a nearby roastery to pick up fresh beans or book a tour. The Instagram post further informed, “Remember, our roastery is just down the street, where you can still stop by to pick up fresh coffee beans or schedule a tour to see where the magic happens. And visit our Grand Lake and Berkeley Cafes in the East Bay, the Ferry Building, and 220 Montgomery in San Francisco. In the meantime, you’ve still got a couple more weeks to come through for your last latte at our beautiful headquarters. We’d love to see you and celebrate this chapter together.”

From farmers to baristas, the brand aims to support marginalized communities and give them opportunities. The cafe believes that coffee can encourage and inspire social change and community empowerment.
