ICU Market Deli and Ice Cream will be adding a second location at 496 Eddy street. When reached on the phone, the owner, Waleed Jaradie said he is trying to open at the beginning of August.

Jaradie said he received his letter of approval for the business recently and it will take him a few weeks to finish construction and move everything into the new space.

The secondary location will be “very much the same” as the first location that resides at 514 Minna Street, says Jaradie. The deli currently serves sandwiches, ravioli, wings, and of course, Mitchell’s ice cream and more.

496 Eddy was formerly home to The Brown Jug, a dive bar, which has long been shuttered

Eddy Street is home to a ton of restaurants that will be neighboring ICU. The competition is full of diverse choices from Vietnamese to American to kebabs to regular ‘ol pizza shops. The new deli will have no problem finding hungry patrons to come and take a bite.
