According to a recently submitted permit application, International restaurant chain JOEY Restaurants plans to debut a new outpost in Santa Clara.

Coming to the Westfield Valley Fair shopping mall at 2855 Stevens Creek Boulevard, Suite 1800, the eatery will land near establishments such as Eataly, Jell & Chill, and Shake Shack.

What Now San Francisco contacted Layne Krienke, President at JOEY Restaurant Group, to inquire about the expansion, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

For readers who are unfamiliar with JOEY, the family-owned Canadian concept opened in 1992 and currently boasts over 30 locations across Vancouver, Kelowna, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Seattle, California, and Texas.

On the menu, Santa Clara locals can expect to find a wide selection of appetizers — think jumbo lump crab cake, mini steak French dips, and Szechuan chicken lettuce wraps — and entrees including sandwiches, burgers, and plates such as ravioli bianco, Cajun blackened chicken, and steak & sushi.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
