Decorated Spanish chef José Andrés is behind a mysterious new concept coming to Palo Alto’s Stanford Shopping Center. The restaurant, which has not publicly been named, will mark his first foray into Northern California.

José Andrés Group made the announcement but has been sparse with the details — even the type of cuisine that will be served is still unknown.

Nevertheless, with the behemoth Simon Property Group — the majority owner of more than 250 shopping centers in Asia, Europe, and North America — and one of the most famous chefs alive behind it, the eatery is sure to be a hit.

The concept is slated to open sometime in 2024. Check back in for an update in the coming months.

Outside of California, José Andrés Group already operates over two dozen restaurants throughout Chicago, Las Vegas, Miami, New York, Orlando, and Washington D.C.
