Joyride Pizza plans to bring its Detroit-style pies to the Embarcadero — taking over a space formerly home to Starbucks at Pier 1, where it will land near establishments such as La Mar and the Ferry Building.

“This is an iconic San Francisco building,” Jesse Jacobs, Joyride’s co-owner and founder, tells SF Eater — “Now we get to continue that history fueling folks in the Bay.”

The menu will gain a new mushroom and sausage pie pizza, a Greek salad, and a breakfast pizza — described as a “shahouska-inspired pie with cracked eggs and tomatoes on top.”

According to the report, there will also be soft serve ice cream “made with buffalo milk from Sonoma County” with toppings such as olive oil and sea salt — and coffee provided by Andytown.

What Now San Francisco contacted Jesse Jacobs — who co-owns the business alongside his brother Joshua Jacobs — to inquire about the expansion, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

Joyride Pizza in the Embarcadero is slated to open this spring. Follow the eatery on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
