A brand new sushi restaurant, Kiroro Sushi House, will be coming to Belmont, California according to a recent liquor license application filed with the state of California.

The application lists 1200 El Camino Real as the location of the new restaurant and was only filed on July 9th, indicating that they are still very early into the process of opening up.

Owner Zhenyu Li kept the details of her new restaurant close to her chest, revealing to What Now San Francisco that they are still two weeks away from closing escrow. Once the escrow has closed though and the finer details have been finalized, she will be happy to share her complete vision for Kiroro Sushi House.

The new location will be replacing the recently-shuttered Detox Kitchen & Juice Bar, which served its final customers only one week ago, permanently closing its doors on July 11th. Thankfully the building won’t sit empty for long, and this rapid transition is a healthy sign of the upcoming economic boom we can expect in Belmont.

The historic El Camino Real is home to an abundance of restaurants and cafes, being a major thoroughfare that links the north and south Bay Area. The new location will be only one block away from Twin Pines Park and Belmont City Hall, making for a perfect picnic location for customers who wish to take their food on the go.
