Limoncello Delicatessen, a locally owned Italian deli known for its extensive menu of sandwiches, salads, and specialty items, is getting ready to open in Downtown San Francisco at 350 California Street.

The company’s fourth location is set to move into the former home of Proper Food, according to the San Francisco Business Times. While an exact opening date has not been announced, the restaurant is expected to debut in Fall 2025. Customers can expect Limoncello’s signature lineup of gourmet sandwiches, hot entrees, Italian desserts, and grab-and-go market items.

Limoncello currently operates three locations across San Francisco, in the Tenderloin, Mission District, and Civic Center. The brand has garnered a loyal following for its fast-casual format and extensive menu, which features over 20 specialty sandwiches, as well as fresh pasta dishes, pizzas, and salads. Its expansion into the Financial District marks a strategic move to serve the city’s dense commercial core.

Founded with an emphasis on authentic Italian cuisine, Limoncello prides itself on using locally sourced produce and premium imported ingredients. The company promotes online ordering and catering services, positioning itself as a convenient option for both office workers and neighborhood residents.

Menu highlights include the Rompiballe Sandwich, featuring meatballs and marinara, the Caprese, with fresh mozzarella and basil, and a variety of seasonal pastas and pizzas. The deli also offers Italian desserts like tiramisu, mascarpone cake, and cannoli, as well as gelato, espresso drinks, and imported snacks.

This will be Limoncello’s first foray into the downtown market, where it will aim to capture foot traffic from nearby office buildings and tourists. The California Street storefront will continue the brand’s model of casual, quick-service dining, offering a wide-ranging menu with a focus on quality and convenience.
