According to a recently submitted alcohol license application, local burger joint Campus Burgers is gearing up to debut a new outpost in San Jose.

Coming to 1701 Park Avenue, the eatery will land near Rosicrucian Park and establishments such as Bill’s Cafe, the Mexican-fusion restaurant Zona Rosa, and the record store On The Corner Music.

What Now San Francisco reached out to the concept’s owner, Mark Angelopoulos, to inquire about his plans for the upcoming spot, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

For readers who haven’t yet had a chance to visit Campus Burgers, the fast-casual restaurant is known for its fries and American food, especially its smash burger priced at a competitive $1.99, and is open for lunch and dinner.

An opening date has not been announced yet, and it’s not clear whether this is an expansion or a relocation. Stay tuned for updates.
