Goose & Gander, a longtime Napa Valley favorite, announced in a recent Instagram post that it will close this month. The team is inviting guests to stop by for a final meal before its last day of service on December 20.
Goose & Gander Restaurant Ends a 14-Year Journey With the Community
A Napa Valley staple, Goose & Gander has welcomed diners for 14 years with its rustic American fare and craft cocktails. The restaurant became known for its pub-style dining room, speakeasy-style basement bar, and leafy garden patio.
Executive Chef Ignacio Beltrán helms a seasonal menu complemented by Scott Beattie’s retro-inspired cocktails and an award-winning wine list.
Surprising the fans, the restaurant shared an official Instagram post and stated, “Even the best parties come to an end, and Dec 20th will be ours here at Goose & Gander. After nearly 14 unforgettable years, we’ve made the incredibly hard decision that it’s time to close our doors. We are beyond grateful to our Napa Valley community and to all our loyal guests over the years for embracing us with open arms.”
The team also expressed its appreciation for longtime staff and loyal guests. Founded in 2012, Goose & Gander quickly became a Napa Valley mainstay known for its inventive cocktails and elevated pub dishes.
Diving deep in the memory lane, the restaurant shared, “It’s been such a privilege to be part of so many special memories, from proposals to first dates, New Year’s Eve celebrations, anniversaries, countless birthdays, homecoming, St. Patrick’s Day, Summer Sundays, family dinners, or just a regular Tuesday night in the bar for a Walter’s Manhattan & duck fat fries. Many, many good times were had here, and we’ll cherish them all.”

The team encouraged guests to stop by one last time and support staff as they prepare for what’s next. The closure marks the end of a notable chapter for a restaurant long woven into Napa Valley’s dining scene.
