According to a recently submitted permit application, Luigi’s Sandwich Palace — a South San Francisco deli and catering business — plans to open a new restaurant outpost in the city.

Coming to 284 Harbor Way, the eatery will soon neighbor establishments such as Wedemeyer Bakery, The Landing Restaurant & Bar, and Silvia’s Tacos.

For readers who are unfamiliar with Luigi’s, currently found at 326 Littlefield Avenue, the family-owned shop has been serving the Bay Area for the last 28 years.

On the menu, patrons can expect to find breakfast sandwiches, soups, salads, wraps, and an array of deli and specialty sandwiches that span from traditional options such as the BLT and the turkey club to more experimental creations — imagine topping like crab salad and salmon steak.

What Now San Francisco reached out to Co-Owner Lina Shetaya to inquire about the expansion, but she could not provide additional information before publication.

An opening date has not yet been announced, so follow Luigi’s on Facebook for updates.
