Mission’s mini-golf venue Urban Putt has been acquired by Holey Moley, a branch of the Australian entertainment company Funlab. According to a recent press release, it will open sometime next year.
Urban Putt’s founder and CEO, Steve Fox, shares, “It’s been incredible to see the vision Funlab has for transformation, and I can’t wait to see how this will build on Urban Putt’s success.”
Known as “Australia’s premiere creator of competitive socializing experiences,” Funlab operates experience venues ranging from arcades to bowling alleys, and mini-golf courses. The business backs 42 locations in total, and, in addition to San Francisco, plans to debut Holey Moley in Austin and Denver later this year.
In regards to what Bay Area residents should expect of the upcoming location, the statement shares, “Holey Moley takes the familiar and beloved mini-golf concept and transforms it into an immersive world of fun, delicious bites, specialty Instagrammable cocktails, and real-life connections.”
What Now San Francisco corresponded with Taylor Arnold of PR firm Ketchum, inquiring about Holey Moley’s plans for drinking and dining options, but she was unable to provide additional information before the time of publication.
