Specialty coffee pop-up Moonwake Coffee Roasters is opening its first brick-and-mortar shop in West San Jose, according to Mercury News.

Coming to 1412 Saratoga Avenue, the cafe will land near establishments such as Dan Izakaya Restaurant, Holder’s Country Inn, and Zeni.

“Working in Silicon Valley, there’s a lot of stress that people go through,” Co-Founder Mabel Yeung tells the journal. She adds, “Just giving people a chance to take a break and relax a little bit was very important to us.”

For readers who are unfamiliar with the concept, Yeung and her husband Ming Wood founded Moonwake in 2022. Until now, the business has operated by attending pop-ups, farmers markets, and events across the Bay Area.

“Coffee itself is so diverse, and there’s so many different ways to enjoy it and prepare it… All of these things contribute to a really exciting and enjoyable experience,” Yeung tells Mercury.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so follow Moonwake on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
