According to a recent beer and wine license application, Mountain Mike’s is opening a new location at 1765 East Bayshore Road. The East Palo Alto spot will neighbor establishments including Jamba Juice, TOGO’s Sandwiches, and Wingstop.

The location will be run by franchisee Gurpreet Buttar, who shared with What Now San Francisco, “We are building from scratch. Construction is going on now, we started in January.”

For readers who are unfamiliar, “the first Mountain Mike’s Pizza restaurant was established in 1978 in Palo Alto, California,” according to the restaurant’s website. Now, with more than 40 years in operation, Mountain Mike’s Pizza has over 250 restaurants throughout Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, and Utah.

Spokesperson Simrat Buttar told What Now San Francisco, “We are opening the restaurant at the end of May.” Stay tuned to the chain’s Instagram and Facebook for additional information.
