Mt. Diablo BBQ, a new barbecue restaurant, is preparing to open in Lafayette at 3422 Mt. Diablo Boulevard.

The new concept will replace the former homes of All the Smoke BBQ, Boneheads Texas BBQ, and Horn Barbecue, according to a recently submitted liquor license application. The business is owned and operated by Eric Ingram and Lawrence Ingram Jr., known for their extensive experience in the Northern California barbecue scene. An exact opening date has yet to be announced.

Eric Ingram is part of the family that owns Crossroads BBQ and has been involved in several barbecue ventures across the state, including BBQ 152, Trail Dust BBQ in Morgan Hill, and Aptos Street BBQ in Aptos. Lawrence Ingram Jr. partners with Eric on these ventures, helping maintain the family’s commitment to traditional barbecue techniques and community-focused dining.

Mt. Diablo BBQ will reflect the owners’ philosophy of family, craft, and community. Each restaurant is designed to provide a casual, welcoming environment where barbecue is both a meal and an experience. The Ingrams’ previous locations are known for offering catering services, including staffed buffets for events and personalized menu options, and the Lafayette location is likely to continue that tradition.

This will be an excellent location for Mt. Diablo BBQ, situated on the busy Mt. Diablo Boulevard corridor in Lafayette. The area benefits from steady local traffic, nearby residential neighborhoods, and a mix of dining and retail destinations. The site’s history as a barbecue spot also aligns with the community’s dining expectations.
