According to a recently filed business license application, a new acai shop is planning to open in Berkeley.
Coming to 2121 University Avenue, the yet-to-be-named cafe will land near establishments such as Imm Thai Street Food, Marugame Udon, and Triple Rock Brewing.
What Now San Francisco briefly spoke with the concept’s co-owner, Jessica Distaso, who will operate the business alongside her husband Travis Distaso, but she could not provide additional information before the time of publication.
Nevertheless, the permit application describes the concept as an “ice cream style shop that will sell mostly acai-based bowls and smoothies.”
An opening date has not been announced yet. Stay tuned for updates.
