According to a recently submitted alcohol license application, a new concept, Bibo’s Pizza & Pasta, is coming to San Jose.
Landing at 5885 Santa Teresa Boulevard, the restaurant will soon be neighbor to establishments such as Bistro Tupaz, Pho La, and Starbucks.
The concept’s co-owner, Fouad Elian — who operates the business alongside his brother, Bibo — tells What Now San Francisco that the business was founded in 2011 and that this will be its fourth brick-and-mortar spot.
He adds that the “3,000 square foot restaurant will offer enough space to hold a baseball team or have a party.”
For readers who are unfamiliar with the restaurant, the Bibo’s website offers a brief introduction: “About 10 years ago my brother Bibo and I had a dream to bring East Coast pizza to the West Coast. The problem was we were broke, didn’t qualify for a lease anywhere, and never ran a restaurant. So we did what any American would… racked up some credit card debt, bought a used pizza oven, and converted an old butcher shop in the back of our dad’s liquor store, ‘Jon’s Store,’ to a pizzeria!”
Bibo’s Pizza and Pasta is slated to open in the summer of 2025.
