According to a recently submitted permit application, Evan Jaques — the owner of The Running Shop and Hops — plans to debut a new concept in Capitola, The Hops Shop.
Coming to 115 San Jose Avenue, the business will land near establishments such as Capitola Wine Bar & Merchants, English Ales, and Left Coast Sausage Worx.
What Now San Francisco spoke briefly with Jacques, but he could not provide additional information before the time of publication.
For readers who are unfamiliar with The Running Shop and Hops, the Morgan Hill-based business introduces itself as “a Craft Beer Bar serving up 86 rotating taps with a wide selection of bottles and cans to enjoy here or to go.” The concept was founded in 2016.
An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
