According to a recently submitted beer and wine license application, a new Greek restaurant is coming to 388 Main Street in Los Altos.

Formerly home to BariBar Bistro — a trattoria marked “permanently closed” on Google Maps — the downtown address neighbors notable eateries including Bevri, Cetrella, and The Post.

While the concept’s name has not yet been publicized, one of the owners listed is Dino Tekdemir — the Bay Area restaurateur behind concepts such as Anatolian Kitchen, Nemea Greek Taverna, and Naschmarkt Restaurant.

What Now San Francisco reached out to Tekdemir, but he was unable to provide additional information before the time of publication. Nevertheless, his existing concepts may provide some insight as to what Los Altos residents can expect.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the restaurant, Anatolian Kitchen is a family-operated restaurant that offers traditional Eastern and Southern Kurdish and Turkish cuisine. On the eatery’s Facebook page, owner Dino Tekdemir shares that “everything is homemade, from the dolma to the bread and the Anatolian manti, prepared ravioli style.”

Some traditional dishes on the menu include mousaka — made with sliced eggplant, ground lamb, beef, onion, zucchini, potato, red bell peppers, tomato, and parsley in a homemade tomato sauce, topped with bechamel sauce — and manti, a ravioli-type pasta filled with meat, served with garlic and yogurt.

Check back in over the coming weeks for additional updates.
