According to SF Eater, local coffee roaster Andrew Barnett plans to open a new Linea Caffe location just north of San Francisco’s Dolores Heights neighborhood.
Taking over an 800-square-foot space formerly home to Nopalito at 3690 18th Street, the coffee shop will land near establishments such as Bi-Rite Creamery, Tartine Bakery, and the bar The 500 Club.
In addition to offering a selection of coffee-based beverages, Dynamo Donuts and Neighbor Bakehouse goods will be on the menu. A new espresso blend, A4, will also be available by pour-over and espresso, according to the Journal.
“I love pour-over coffee,” Barnett shares. “But I love espresso. I dream of espresso.”
For readers who are unfamiliar with the business, its website offers a brief introduction: “Founded in 2013, Linea Caffe is the latest project of veteran artisan coffee roaster Andrew Barnett, whose expertise is centered in sweetness-forward coffee and espresso, compassionate customer service, and, above all, coffee’s role in bringing people together.”
“Through Andrew’s deep relationships with the world’s most quality-focused coffee producers, we’ve been proud to earn both community adoration in San Francisco and global recognition for our environmentally friendly, award-winning, simply delicious coffees,” the statement continues.
Linea Caffe is slated to open by early fall 2025.
