According to a recently submitted alcohol license application, the restaurateur behind Fish on Fire Ramen & Sushi Bar in Suisun City and Totto Ramen and Sushi is preparing to introduce a new concept, Wasabi Contemporary Japanese Cuisine, in Fairfield.
Coming to 1500 Oliver Road, Suites L and M, the eatery will be located near establishments such as the gym Crunch Fitness, a Dollar Tree, and a McDonald’s.
What Now San Francisco spoke briefly with one of the concept’s owners, Kyoungoh Kim — who is listed as a registered agent of the general corporation behind Wasabi Contemporary Japanese Cuisine, CK FRIENDS 7 INC, and who, based on contact information, is also connected to a Mochinut outpost in Vacaville — but they could not provide additional information before the time of publication.
As reported by What Now San Francisco back in April, Kim is also the restaurateur behind the Japanese fare restaurant Fish on Fire Ramen & Sushi Bar, located at 320 Lawler Center Drive in Suisun City, near establishments such as Black Bear Diner, Panda Express, and Suisun Seafood Center.
Since opening back in June, Fish on Fire has received complimentary reviews. A local patron who leaves Google reviews under the username Nicole Best Varela writes, “The menu has a wide variety of classic sushi favorites, sashimi, creative small plates, and appetizers. They also have a variety of ramen dishes that can be customized with various toppings… Fish [on] Fire has definitely elevated the food scene in Suisun City.”
Another, writing under the username Kwansik Park, says, “I heard it was newly opened, so I gave it a try — the fish was incredibly fresh and the staff were so friendly. I’m really glad I went. I highly recommend others to check it out as well. I’m happy to have found such a great sushi place in Suisun City, and I think I’ll be going there often.”
