According to a recently submitted alcohol license application, a new eatery listed as U Khao Thai Street Food is gearing up to open in San Jose.

Coming to 7048 Santa Teresa Boulevard, taking over the former home of Khunying Thai, the restaurant will soon become a neighbor to establishments such as El Amigo, Flames Coffee Shop, and Taco Bell.

The concept’s owner, Supak Thongnurak, tells What Now San Francisco that U Khao will offer Northern Thai dishes, listing items including samosas as an appetizer and plates such as khao soi — an egg noodle soup in a curry broth topped with crispy egg noodles — and pork bbq served alongside pineapple fried rice.

“This is my first time opening a restaurant, I have so many ideas,” shares Thongnurak.

U Khao Thai Street Food is slated to open at the end of February. Stay tuned for updates.
