Local business Ocean Malasada “has filed a business registry for suite K1 at the Ferry Building, indicating that the San Francisco-based business is making moves to open a kiosk inside the food hall,” according to SF Eater.

Should the location pan out as planned, the pastry concept will land alongside existing tenants such as Cholita Linda, Delica, and Far West Fungi.

For readers who are unfamiliar with Ocean Malasada, the business was founded in 2016, when Randy and Dee Santos began baking their now well-known Portuguese doughnuts in their Sunset District home and selling them at farmer’s markets across the Bay Area.

What Now San Francisco reached out to the concept’s owners to inquire about the upcoming spot, but they could not provide additional information before publication.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so follow Ocean Malasada on Facebook for updates.
