A pending ABC license found in state public records reveals that Luma Eatery is taking over the former Dempsey’s Restaurant & Brewery at 50 E. Washington St. in Petaluma. The concept is the next venture for The Shuckery owner Jazmine LalickerThe Petaluma Argus-Courier first reported.

In a phone call with What Now San Francisco, Lalicker said that they are finishing up the design phase and will soon begin construction on the restaurant. If all goes according to plan, she hopes to open Luma Eatery by early summer. According to The Petaluma Argus-Courier, Michelin recognized chef Roberth Sundell of Petaluma Stockhome is collaborating with Lalicker to develop a plant-forward menu. Prior to this project, Lalicker opened The Shuckery in 2016 and a cocktail bar in the lobby of Hotel Petaluma in 2021.

Based on this resume, we’re hungry to see what Lalicker will cook up at Luma Eatery, which is sure to be the next must-visit restaurant in downtown Petaluma. Until then, get a taste of what Lalicker brings to the table at www.theshuckeryca.com.
