Pizz’A Chicago, the restaurant behind “the Bay Area’s best Chicago style gourmet pizza,” will leave its current Palo Alto address at 2305 El Camino Real Suite A and move to 3864 El Camino Real. The new address is currently home to The Sandwich Bug, and other restaurants in the vicinity include Kitchen at Palo Alto, Hobee’s, and The Sea by Alexander’s Steakhouse.
Around for about 20 years, Pizz’A Chicago claims to serve the “best-tasting, highest-quality pie around.” Voted “Best Pizza” by San Jose Metro, the restaurant website states that it sets itself apart from other pizza places “in a very obvious (and delicious) way,” the crust. Co-owner Theo Reynolds lets readers in on the trick — “like the best Chicago-style pizzas around, we still use corn meal, but the crust remains lighter and less heavy.”
On the Pizz’A Chicago website, Reynolds shares his motivation for starting the restaurant by detailing memories of his first slice of pizza — “That first bite was one of the most memorable bites of food I’ve ever eaten in my whole life; the tanginess of the sauce, the chewiness of the crust, and that gooey tantalizing mozzarella.”
Leasing Rep Jon Goldman of Premier Properties confirms with What Now San Francisco that the pizza restaurant plans to relocate, however, an opening date has not yet been announced.
