The impact-driven coffee company Progeny Coffee is joining forces with Hope Hangar, a nonprofit based in Mountain View that offers support and resources to local people in crisis. Together, they will introduce a new concept, Hope Cafe, at Hangar’s current space at 910 San Antonio Road in Palo Alto.

According to Eater SF, Progeny Coffee will build a coffee bar and seating area and Hope Cafe will serve all Colombian specialty coffee. The menu is still being developed, but “will be simple” — think items like drip coffee and cappuccinos, all made from single-origin “micro lots.” Hope Cafe will also offer a food menu that prioritizes Latina producers.

In line with both Progeny Coffee and Hope Hangar’s mission to empower neglected communities, the new cafe will also serve as a job training program for women with underprivileged backgrounds.

Hope Cafe is slated to open by fall 2023. Follow Progeny Coffee on Facebook and Instagram for additional updates.
