Pink’s Shrimp Shack, the popular SoMa-based food truck that serves up fried colossal shrimp, will be opening its first permeant brick-and mortar location later this Spring.

Owner Shelly Ha, who also owns the Naked Chicken food truck, launched a soft opening of Pink’s back in May. Famous for its fried colossal shrimp with garlic noodles, Pink’s was an immediate success.

Over the next few months Pink’s began appearing at more pop-ups, such as District Six and The Night Market, and quickly cultivated a reputation for serving up high-quality food with great service.

Now, only four months since launching Pink’s and Shelly is gearing up to launch her first store at 3399 Clayton Road in Concord. Formerly the home of Big Country Kitchen, which was recently forced to close its Concord location, the new store is an ambitious step forward for the young restaurant.

With a lot that features over 20,000 square feet of empty space, Shelly hopes to one day transform the space into a food truck garden of her own. Starting with Pink’s brick-and-mortar location, Shelly hopes to bring her other food truck, The Naked Chicken, to the lot to provide her customers with everything they could possibly need. Eventually, she hopes to invite food trucks from all over the Bay Area to come and serve new food to her customers.

Shelly confirmed with What Now San Francisco that she wants to have Pink’s ready and operational by next Spring. She imagines that it will take about six months to get everything she needs to prepare her new restaurant. In the meantime, follow their Instagram to track their next pop-up and get #butterdrunk.
