According to public records, an eatery named Pizza D’Oro is opening a new spot in North Berkeley.

Landing at 1782 Shattuck Avenue — at a 400-square-foot space that was formerly home to the now-closed Oriental Restaurant — the pizza joint will soon neighbor establishments such as Caravaggio Gelato Lab, Party Sushi, and Victory Point Cafe.

What Now San Francisco reached out to Pizza D’Oro to inquire about the upcoming location, but the business did not respond before the time of publication.

Nevertheless, the description on the filing confirms that pizza will be on the menu — detailing the concept as a “restaurant serving pizza, beer, and wine.”

Additionally, readers should note that the eatery is entirely unrelated to Pizza D’Oro of Costa Mesa.

Stay tuned for additional updates.

Note: This article previously stated that the upcoming restaurant was owned by Phillip DiPietro who operates a pizzeria by the same name in Costa Mesa.
