Poki Bowl has a new location in the works at 1425 1st St. in Gilroy, according to a pending beer and wine license in California public records. Franchisee and owner Mark Jacobsen confirms that they should be ready to open in mid-March 2022

Poki Bowl is known for serving “Simple Yet Delicious” poke bowls. Customers first choose a base of sushi rice, brown rice, greens, chips, or a combination of those. Next, customers can pick from a variety of proteins, from fresh spicy tuna, salmon, shrimp, and more.

Finally, it all gets topped with veggies, sauces, and ten varieties of toppings. Jacobsen confirms that the Gilroy location will have beer and wine for sale. Most locations also serve Mavens Creamery macaron ice cream sandwiches for dessert.

Poki Bowl got its start in 2015 out of San Jose. Its website notes that customers from far and wide would travel all the way to their first shop off Almaden Expressway just to get a taste of this “seafood in a bowl” experience.

The rising demand sparked the opening of five more corporate locations throughout California, not to mention all the franchise locations currently popping up nationwide. Follow Poki Bowl on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to find out when Poki Bowl will finally make its Gilroy debut.
