According to SFist, popular Bay Area bakery Tartine plans to open a new location at the Strawberry Village shopping center — where it will join tenants such as Harmony Restaurant, High Tech Burrito, and Thep Lela Thai Restaurant.

The concept’s co-owner, Elisabeth Prueitt, tells What Now San Francisco, “We’re very excited about the opening in Mill Valley.”

For readers who are unfamiliar with the business, Prueitt offers a brief introduction, sharing, “Tartine was started in West Brand. We were briefly, for a few years, in Mill Valley… We opened in San Francisco in 2002 and have since opened many locations.”

She continues, “We’re very well known for our breakfast pastries, the Morning Bun being our most popular, our croissants a close second.”

Tartine in Marin County is slated to open late this year. Stay tuned for updates.
