After taking their grab-and-go concept to new heights with their first airport location at SFO this summer, Proper Food is apparently continuing their expansion throughout the Bay Area. In July, the company applied for a beer and wine license at 1300 El Camino Real in Menlo Park’s new Springline development.

Proper Food was founded in San Francisco in 2014 by Stanford alumni Howard and Dana Bloom, in partnership with Executive Chef and Head of Operations Juan Muñoz. The chain specializes in fresh, made-from-scratch sandwiches, salads, soups, and Chef’s Special takeaway meals for customers on the go.

The Blooms created Proper Food with the philosophy that “there shouldn’t be a trade-off between eating well and eating fast,” according to their website. They, along with Muñoz, develop healthy, sustainably sourced meals that make it easy for folks to have delicious and nutritious meals in a cinch.

Proper Food has a menu to satisfy your hunger at any time of the day. From Coconut Chia Pudding or Croissant Sandwiches for breakfast, to Green Tea Soba Noodle Salad with Sesame Chicken and Salmon Teriyaki for lunch or dinner, you can count on Proper Food to have something both delicious and filling.

Proper Food did not immediately respond to requests for comment, but this new location is expected to open this fall, according to InMenlo. For more information, visit properfood.com.
